What is The Tennessee Jury Verdict Reporter?
Here's the scoop on what the TJVR is all about
When's it published? The Tennessee Jury Verdict Reporter is published monthly. Our premiere issue debuted in October 2004.
What's included? The TJVR covers just one thing -- Civil Jury Verdicts.
Which jury verdicts? Good question. Almost all of em. Every jury verdict. We know we miss some, but we never fail to include a story on a verdict that we know about. We estimate that we cover more than 95% of the trial results in Tennessee, with a particular focus on tort cases. Occasionally, we will omit a case about a tractor or cows running at large.
Have you tried a case? Let us know about it.
How frequently is it published? Once a month, twelve times a year.
Who is TJVR? Our editorial staff is comprised entirely of attorneys who do nothing but study, review and write about civil jury verdict results. While we're new in Tennessee in 2004, we've been publishing jury verdict reporters since 1997, now represented in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and Alabama.
What's in a case report? Each report summarizes the parties, county, case number, judge, attorneys, plus a detailed description of the facts of the case. For a sample of our writing, see Tennessee verdict from the current issue.
How do I subscribe? Annual subscriptions are $140.00 per year. To subscribe, you have two options. Either call us toll-free at 1-866-228-2447 to pay by credit card or return a check with a cover letter to The Tennessee Jury Verdict Reporter, 9462 Brownsboro Road, No. 133, Louisville, KY 40241.
